Fergie has bigged up Kanye West for making the hip-hop world “gay-friendly”.

The Black Eyed Peas popstrel – who’s been at the centre of a cheating hubby scandal of late – thinks the world should appreciate how the preppy rapper has broken down boundaries.

Speaking to US magazine, The Advocate, the singer said: "Kanye West really did a great thing for hip-hop and made it very mixed and open.”

And she reckons his influence has rubbed off on her flamboyant bunch.

She said: “Are Black Eyed Peas gay-friendly? Are you kidding me? Look at how they dress!”

And the singer, who’s openly admitted to having experimented with women in the past, says she loved filming BEP’s ’I Gotta Feeling’ clip because she got to get it on with women.

She said: "Yes, it was [my idea to flirt with the girls]. That was fun because it was so naughty. It was a big tease, but it felt very natural."
