Ad Sales Producer

MTV Networks New Zealand is searching for an experienced Producer to work with our Advertising Sales team. This is an exceptional opportunity to utilise your creative ability by producing TVCs, competition spots, co-branded promotions, billboards, and other elements to support initiatives from the Ad Sales department. You will be involved in the 360 degree process from conceptualising ideas, to the design and animation process, and all the way to editing, copywriting and directing on-channel promotions and campaigns.

The successful applicant will have the following:
• Confidence to execute creative projects whilst collaborating and creatively brainstorming with external and internal parties
• Good communication skills in order to clearly and effectively communicate concepts for clients
• Strong organisation skills to work within budgets as well as prepare reports pre and post shoots
• Ability to prioritise and juggle multiple projects and work to competing deadlines
• Advanced skills in Final Cut, After Effects, Photoshop & Illustrator
• Minimum 2 year experience in a similar role

Office Services Coordinator

MTV Networks New Zealand is in search of a bright and enthusiastic Office Services Coordinator to be the voice and face of our business. This is a rare opportunity to join a company that is an international market leader in the media industry. As the Office Services Coordinator you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including reception, accounts payable, information systems support, human resources support, and general office administration. Day to day responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all incoming calls are answered promptly and professionally
• Distributing mail and ordering local and international couriers
• Coordinating all office equipment and supplies
• Managing the OSH and Fire Safety inductions for all new staff
• Accounts payable data entry including raising and matching creditor invoices and expense claims
• Petty cash management and reconciliation
• Assisting with the coordination of staff training, interviews and company events
• Ensuring all new starters have set up needs completed prior to start date
• Ensuring complaints or any legal matters are communicated to legal team in a timely manner
• Supporting all internal departments with various requests including Marketing, Programming, Ad Sales and Production teams.

Whist supporting and working closely with the NZ team you will also be required to liaise heavily with the AUS team and as such will have exposure to an array of functions. To be successful for this position you will ideally have:

Promo Scheduler

We have a new and exciting position available for immediate start. This is an opportunity for a highly organised and analytical individual to join the Programming Department of a leading international entertainment organisation.
In the position of Promo Scheduler you will be required to plan and execute the commercial air-time for both MTV and Comedy Central. Day to day responsibilities will include the following:

• Data entry and navigation of the RCS, BSS, PTS in order to create daily logs
• Analyse available research data to determine best performing slots and reach to inform and develop scheduling strategies of TVCs, marketing spots and program promos in the various day parts.
• Liaise with the Promo Producer for each channel to ensure promos are accurate and on time
• View and select all weekly cross-channel promos and determine which are appropriate internally and externally for SKY.
• Facilitate reports for various departments for special events such as competition spots, specific channel broadcasts i.e. stunts, awards, etc.
• Maintain the channel inventory database of third-party, Australian and NZ short-form segments
• General administrative support for programming department and log support for Schedulers

To be successful for this position you will ideally have:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Minimum 2 years experience in a programming/scheduling team
• Proficient in RCS, BSS, PTS and/or other scheduling systems
• Proficient at technical skills e.g. tape operation, cue sheeting, etc.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Scheduler

At MTV Networks New Zealand and we have a new and exciting position available. This is an opportunity for a highly organised individual to join our Programming Department as a Scheduler on the MTV channel.
In the position of Scheduler you will be required to coordinate, prepare and finalise the 24 hour programming broadcast logs for one of our channels. Day to day responsibilities will include the following:

• Maintain the channel inventory database
• Oversee the production of the Electronic Program Guide
• Work under the guidance of management to plan, construct and distribute the channel’s monthly schedule
• Conduct weekly record company music meetings to receive and discuss new artist releases, touring and promotional opportunities
• Regularly liaise with playout facilities in Sydney

To be successful for this position you will ideally have:

• 1-2 years experience in a similar role
• RCS (or other) scheduling software experience
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational ability
• Knowledge of TV or radio programming philosophies
